3D cutaway illustration for single-turn wave spring

I was recently  contacted by a client to create two cutaway illustrations showcasing their product line of single and multi-turn wave springs.  They wanted to show their product on generic quick connectors used in air, hydro and hydraulic applications.  Each image is used for print and on-line marketing collateral.

I always enjoy opportunities to create cutaway illustrations, because they require me to call upon my  training in drafting and my knowledge gained working in machine shops and on manufacturing assembly lines. I have always enjoyed taking things apart and seeing how things work, so this project was certainly a pleasure to work on.
